The Greensboro Club, a proud member of the Greensboro NANBPWC, was organized on May 16, 1979, by Dr. Sandra Alexander and Dr. Mary Moore Tuggle Whitehurst, and chartered on August 2, 1979, with 17 women. Dr. Sandra Alexander, who also served as District Vice Governor, was the first president of The Greensboro Club. Over the years, the Greensboro women leadership has garnered numerous awards at both district and national levels for excellence in programming. Our community service programs align with a national mandate represented by the acronym LETS (Leadership, Entrepreneurship, Technology, and Service). In our 46th year, we continue to provide valuable information and serve the Greensboro community in these areas and more. The growth and development of The Greensboro Club have been evident through each president's administration. We are proud to have members who have served on our National Board of Directors, including Marie E. Castillo (22nd National President, 2011-2015), Cheryl McKay (Director of Education, 2015-2019), Beverly Wallace (National Recording Secretary, 2019-2023), and Lisa DeBerry (National Financial Secretary, 2025 - present). For forty-six years, the members of The Greensboro Club of The National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’s Clubs, Incorporated have been dedicated to community service, demonstrating care and compassion. This women's club is comprised of women committed to the betterment of our community and society at large.
